To speak with a live agent, you need to stay on the line and when the automatic system prompts you need to say “Report a problem” or press 4 (to report an emergency like a downed wire or outage), then press 7 (for something else) and stay on the line (typical waiting time is about 1-5 minutes). Live customer service agents are available from 7.30am to 7.30pm EST Monday-Friday, 7.30am to 5pm EST Saturday-Sunday.

  • If you need a moment to find it say “Hold on” or press 2.
  • To open a new account say “New account” or press 3.
